Clifton Collins, Jr. has acted in many television series and films. On television, he has appeared in single episodes of series including The Flash, ER, NYPD Blue, Diagnosis Murder, The Twilight Zone, and Southland. He also acted in multiple episodes of Resurrection Blvd, Alias, and Thief. Clifton's many film appearances include Dead Presidents (1995), American Girl (2002), Mindhunters (2004), and Star Trek (2009).

In addition to his work as an actor, Clifton Collins, Jr. has produced such cinema films as Little Chenier (2006) and Tom Cool (2009), and the television film National Lampoon's TV the Movie (2006). Clifton also produced and acted in the film Rampage: The Hillside Strangler Murders (2006).

Clifton has won several awards for his acting, including a Cast Outstanding Performance SAG award in 2000, a Best Ensemble Acting Phoenix Film Festival Copper Wing award in 2007, and a Best Ensemble Cast Boston Society of Film Critics award in 2009. He has also been nominated for an Emmy in 2006, and three ALMA awards.

Trivia

Clifton's great-grandparents on his mother's side were a Mexican trumpet player and Spanish dancer who formed a traveling family act, and his grandfather was well-known character actor Pedro González González.
Clifton changed his professional name to Clifton González-González in 1990, claiming that he was tired of people not knowing his grandfather or appreciating the significance of his ordeal. He reverted back to the name of Collins in 2000 after his father passed away.
He is a recreational snowboarder.
