Character History

2009

Elias talks with Blake Sterling inside the Oval Office upon receiving a file about the Mount Inostranka Facility. Blake answers Elias that there are 97 prisoners, and Elias says he wants to go to the facility and meet them. (I Haven't Told You Everything)

Sometime later, Blake holds a meeting with President Martinez about the origin of the Inostranka prisoners. Blake tells the President that they are survivors of a 1944 crash and states that they are not of terrestrial origin. After Simon Lee explains their physical differences, the President is informed that they are being held because of their refusal to tell the truth. (To Keep Us Safe)

Elias is accompanied by Blake, Simon Lee and General Whitman as he visits the facility. Sophia, the leader of the prisoners, greets him. (I Haven't Told You Everything)

2010

In the President's Retreat, Elias is celebrating his son's birthday along with other people. Vice President Jarvis whispers in Elias's ear, telling him to attend a meeting with Jarvis, Blake and General Whitman. The trio try to deter him from announcing the close of the Mount Inostranka Facility, but are unsuccessful.

Later, Elias kindly asks Sophia if she is "ready" to speak to the public, to which she replies that she has been ready for a long time. Suddenly, Elias and Sophia are rushed to safety after they witness a plane heading right towards them. In a limousine with his family, Elias watches in shock as the plane disappears into a blue light. When he comes out, Sophia states "they saved us" and informs Elias she hasn't told him everything. (I Haven't Told You Everything) President Martinez and his family are taken to a secure warehouse. Blake informs the President that the plane was hijacked because of the intent to crash into the Presidential compound. In a secure area of a warehouse, the President and Blake are briefed about the mysterious disappearance of Avias 514 and the recording of electromagnetic blasts during the time.

Afterwards, the President rides on a golf cart with Blake on the way to Sophia's cell. He speaks with a recaptured Sophia, questioning the motives of her people. When pressed with more questions, Sophia does not reply and, as a result, the President refuses to free her people until he gets the truth. Sophia claims that that would be a mistake, because her people have been locked up 66 years and their patience is running out. The President interprets this as a threat and leaves the room.
