Evan Katz is the showrunner, executive producer and writer for The Event.

About

Evan Katz is best known for his work as executive producer for the television series 24 (2004-2010). He has also been executive producer for the series Special Unit 2 (2001-2002) and episodes of Three (1998), co-executive producer for the series Seven Days (1998), and co-producer for episodes of JAG (1995-1998). Evan also been a writer for episodes of McKenna (1994), The Commish (1993-1994), Class of '96 (1993), and My Life and Times (1991). He also wrote the television films Love Matters (1993) and Archie: To Riverdale and Back Again (1990).

Notes

• For his work on 24, Evan Katz won the "Best International Producer" Golden Nymph award from the Monte-Carlo TV Festival (2006), and was nominated twice (2006 and 2007) for the PGA's "Episodic Drama Television Producer of the Year" award.
• The show 24 won (2006) and was nominated twice (2004 and 2005) for the "Outstanding Drama Series" Emmy award. The WGA recognized 24 with an "Episodic Drama" award win (2004) and a nomination for the "Dramatic Series" award (2007).
