- Actor Željko Ivanek (Damages) appeared together with Taylor Cole (Summerland) in episodes of NBC's television show Heroes, with Wes Ramsey (CSI: Miami) in another Heroes episode, and with Blair Underwood (Dirty Sexy Money) in an episode of L.A. Law.
- Actors Jason Ritter (Joan of Arcadia) and Blair Underwood have both made appearances in separate episodes of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
- Actress Laura Innes (ER) has also directed episodes of other TV shows including Brothers & Sisters, ER, and The West Wing.
- Executive Producer Nick Wauters (Eureka, The 4400) completed the original script for The Event in 2006, and an episode of Medium written by him aired that year.
- Two of the cast and crew are foreign born: Executive Producer Nick Wauters is from Belgium, and actor Željko Ivanek is from Slovenia.
- Prior to opening his own production company in 2009, Executive Producer Steve Stark (Medium) was President of Grammnet Productions, which co-produces Medium. He brought the original script for The Event to NBC in 2009. Steve also co-developed the variety TV show Star Search.
- Showrunner and Executive Producer Evan Katz (24) and actor Željko Ivanek have both been awarded an Emmy. Actress Laura Innes won three ensemble Screen Actors Guild awards for her performance on ER.
