The National Broadcasting Company, or NBC is the American television network headquartered in the GE Building in New York City's Rockefeller Center.
About
NBC was created in 1926, originally as a radio broadcasting company. As television revolutionized the world, NBC began broadcasting television programs.
In May 2004, General Electric merged NBC with Vivendi Universal Entertainment to form NBC Universal. In December 2009, General Electric and Comcast announced a buyout agreement for NBC Universal. Pending regulatory approval, General Electric will buy out Vivendi's minority stake and Comcast will own 51% of NBC Universal.
NBC began airing The Event Mondays at 9pm Eastern/8pm Central on September 20, 2010. The series is also broadcast in other countries.
