From The Event Wiki

An administrator or sysop on The Event Wiki has the responsibility and ability to:

1. Delete articles and files on the wiki
2. Block users who vandalize, spam, or otherwise misuse their user privileges
3. Quickly revert a user's edits
4. Patrol edits of other users
5. Promote users to become patrollers

An administrator is not a dictator. In fact, unless an administrator is acting in administrative duties (listed above), the administrator should be viewed by the rest of the community as any other editor would be viewed. Specifically, the administrator's opinions expressed on talk pages should not carry any more weight than the opinions of other contributors. Likewise, an administrator's edits to a page should not be viewed as "uneditable", but should be subjected to the same editing as any other editor's contributions.
